We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy. As an Accounting Specialist, you will work alongside each department to ensure our company’s financial numbers and budgets are on track. You will be responsible for invoice processing, account reconciliations, cash management, and journal entries.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems.
  • Excellent data entry and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and record journal entries to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Collect, verify coding, input, and archive invoices in a timely and accurate manner to support financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Provide administrative and accounting support to teammates to ensure efficient workflow and accurate financial data.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage cash flow, including counting daily drops, preparing bank deposits, posting check payments, and managing company credit cards and petty cash, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing vendors to facilitate efficient billing and payment processing.
  • Assist with month-end close and year-end audits to ensure accurate financial statements and regulatory compliance.
  • Produce daily revenue reports, research, analyze and resolve any discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Process bi-weekly check runs and monitor payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness, to maintain positive vendor relationships and optimize cash flow.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial data.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience.
